Raclette is all about hot fresh melted cheese scrapped right off the wheel. While the cheese may still be melted upon pickup, it might solidify or cool down during travel time.
 

If desired: specify to have your Gouda cheese packaged separately. When ready to eat, preheat your oven to a low temperature (around 250°F or 120°C) and place the cheese-topped toast on a baking sheet, heating it for a few minutes until the cheese is gooey and slightly bubbling. This step will help recreate the melty, indulgent raclette experience even after the journey.
